It is important to take into consideration that happ iness is a state of mind, a declaration y ou make, not a reward. This "little" misperception causes a huge impact on how we live our lives and the way we perceive happiness.
Discovering happiness in most everything you do in life creates a happy mind. The other way around is true too: a positive mindset splashes light on even the grayest canvas. That doesn’t mean you won’t experience other types of emotions, but letting go of those emotions that don’t facilitate your growth is an essential ingredient in finding and sustaining joy.
As many of you already know, a few weeks ago I came to Spain, and I am currently writing from Madrid which, it is making me extremely happy. I’ve been traveling around for work and decided to take pictures to share my happy moments with all of you to beautify this blog post. I am meeting amazing people, spending quality time with my family, working in what I love and expanding my horizon of possibilities. Hope you enjoy the pictures I am sharing as much as I did taking them!
As Theodore Isaac Rubin said, "Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best." The reality is that only you can define what happiness is for you. Perhaps at times it is an easy task, such as having your morning coffee, taking a five-minute break or being in communication with your loved ones. Other times you might assess happiness in terms of achieving a certain goal such as losing weight, changing jobs or creating a new healthy habit. The key is becoming your own creator of happiness, your main source of inspiration, your main river of enlightenment. Once you become mindful on this matter and truly understand that you create your own happiness, regardless of outside circumstances, you become powerful, unstoppable, extraordinary... HAPPY .
