We have been told to drink at least 2 liters of water per day, which most of us usually find hard to achieve. The good news is that these yummy recipes will probably help you drink even more water! Try to let the mix sit overnight or at least 15 minutes prior consumption; and, replace fruits after 2-3 refills to make sure you optimize their benefits.
Weight loss and fat loss require a big-time commitment, a strong focus, many sacrifices, an excellent work ethic, and a lot of mental strength. But the great thing about weight loss is that it is attainable, measurable, and very rewarding, especially if you do it as a team effort. You need to know this before starting, so you don’t give up before reaching your goals. Combine the following recipes this summer, they are great conversation starters!
1 - Flat Belly Detox Water Recipe
- 24 ounces of ice cold water
- Slices of fresh cucumber
- Fresh mint leaves
- ½ sliced lemon
- ¼ sliced orange
This is a good water to drink in the mornings with an empty stomach to power up your immune system, eliminate toxins and keep a gorgeous skin.
2 - Craving Control Detox Water Recipe
- 24 ounces of ice cold water
- Fresh mint leaves
- 1 strawberry sliced
- ½ sliced lemon
- ¼ tsp of cinnamon
- ¼ sliced apple
This detox water will help you burn fat even when you are sitting down! Lemon, apple and cinnamon helps you speed up your metabolism, which makes it easier to burn fat.
3 - Daily Cleansing Detox Water Recipe
- 1-2 liters of ice cold water (depends on how strong you want it to taste)
- Slices of watermelon and cucumber
- 1 lime or lemon
- Fresh mint leaves (approximately 10-13)
One cup of watermelon will provide 1 gram of fiber, 17% of vitamin A, 21% of vitamin C, 2% of iron and 1% of calcium needs for the day. Watermelon also contains thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline, lycopene and betaine. Great for your skin, lower blood pressure, and avoid constipation.
4 - Chia Water Detox
- 1 glass of water
- 1 spoon of chia
- 1 tsp of lemon
Chia seeds are gluten/grain free naturally - they are great for preventing dehydration during exercise or exposure to heat. One tablespoon of Chia Seeds has more calcium than a glass of milk, more Omega-3s than Salmon, and more antioxidants than blueberries. They also give you tons of energy but also won’t keep you awake at night. Chia seeds are supposed to be a great for weight loss, because they can absorb many times their size/weight in liquid.
5 - Water Stress Reduction
- 1 liter of cold water
- 8 sliced strawberries
- 1 lemon or lime
- Half sliced cucumber
- Fresh mint leaves (approximately 10 – 15)
Mint helps calm down the nervous system, and lemon energizes the digestive system, while the strawberry and cucumber add a yummy fresh flavor to the water.
6 - Homemade Coconut Detox Water
- 1 cup of water
- ½ cup of coconut water
- 2 tsp of lemon
- 2 tsp of aloe juice
This water helps regulate the digestive system, get rid of toxins, and lower inflammation. Your skin and hair will look bright and hydrated!
